Order type:

Limit (use midpoint)

Trading side:

Buy side (long calls/puts) until comfortable with spreads/assignments

Strike selection:

ITM for higher success probability; OTM for higher leverage but higher failure rate

Expiry for swing:

3–14 days (≤ 2 weeks) — balance theta vs gamma

Size risk:

Limit premium at risk per trade to 1–3% of account
